About Von Venhuizen
I am currently an Associate Professor of Art – Ceramics, at Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, Texas. Before Texas Tech University, I was the Production Manager and Educational Coordinator for Dahlquist Clayworks, in Des Moines, Iowa. I received my M.F.A. in 1996 from Indiana University – Bloomington , Indiana. After receiving my MFA, I was hired at Herron School of Art for the summer, then promptly employed as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Art at Michigan State University for 3 years. I have pieces in permanent University collections, museums, and private collections. I am published in numerous books (i.e 500 Ceramic Sculptures), and have been in over 100 juried exhibitions, solo and two person exhibitions.
